What type of consumer are you?
I would say I am an impulse consumer. I buy most of my stuff on impulse when shown a good deal or new stock. Even in my work, which is Nordstrom, I often buy things on impulse due to my discount. This is probably one of the worst consumers due to the fact they often return things later. I know I am guilty of returning things often.
What influences your buying decision and why?
The things that influence my buying decisions are sales, new stock, and seasonal changes. Every season I find myself buying new things in order to match the new season rather than finding my old stuff. Also, sales are never permanent so I feel the need to buy now and ask later.
Which stage actually leads to your purchasing decisions?
The stage of realizing that I need it and someone else may buy it. Also, realizing that I can later return it helps as well. Returns are something I do a lot and it’s easier than trying it on and thinking about the decision.
When making a buying decision, how are you influenced by marketing research and marketing design?
Flashy and eye grabbing ads turn me off, I prefer well thought out marketing ploys and things that look more pastel.
Do you experience any post-purchase behavior?
I always feel this and often end up returning things due to regret. That’s why I am one of the worst consumers due to regret and return.
